About

The Visual Communication syllabus encourages experimentation with many different design disciplines. For my final year, I have pursued my interest in digital and interactive design. I have developed a logical approach to the design process, which combined with my inquisitive nature has led me to evaluate the design around us, and develop strategies for successful interaction with an audience.

Designing this year has been a steep but rewarding learning curve, not only in the process of designing for digital but also in learning new programs and photography techniques to achieve the level of finish I push myself to achieve. The quality of the outcome is very important and I strive to keep this consistent across all my work.

For the past year I have been head of design for Label, Loughborough University’s student magazine. Although not directly linked to where I see myself in the future, the experience has been invaluable. I have had to co-ordinate and manage a design team of up to twentyfive people, while meeting live deadlines and liaising with Illustration and Photography teams for image requests.

I have spent the last four summers working for a London-based graphic design company, participating in many stages of the design life-cycle and client relationships, including: research, identity, presentation work, design reviews, client entertainment, video and photographic location shoots.

I am currently looking for work or placements.
